The Healing NET Foundation was founded by individuals with a common desire to bring neuroendocrine cancer from the obscurity of the “cancer that Steve Jobs had” to a level of understanding that neuroendocrine tumors are very treatable forms of cancer; many patients can live long lives of high quality. We understand it first-hand, as patients or friends of patients.

The Carcinoid Foundation

Serving the Carcinoid/NET Community for Over 44 Years.

It is a nonprofit organization chartered by the State of New York for the purpose of encouraging and supporting research and education on carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancers.

The staff of the Foundation cannot render authoritative medical consultations. If such an opinion were sought it would require review of all the specific technical details in a patients medical records including review of CT-scans, X-ray films, biopsy slides, blood tests, etc. A person's health is too important to have decisions based on casual suggestions and general impressions. A physician experienced and expert in carcinoid disease should be consulted for case specific questions. E-mail queries with case specific questions will not be responded to.

This website is constantly being updated as new information and research results become available. Special events that will benefit the carcinoid patient are posted on a regular basis. Information about existing support groups is available and links to other sites regarding pertinent information ranging from clinical trials, travel information to references to peer review article for the physician.

Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network

NCAN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit incorporated in 2004. Our Mission is to intensify awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer including Carcinoid. NCAN provides access to information about NETs, and funding for NET cancer research. For the past 12 years NCAN has provided information and support to NET patients and caregivers through e-mail, our web site, and toll free phone number. Our phone line is open 7 days a week 9 am – 9 pm EST, 365 days a year! The phone line is answered by a patient or a caregiver at all times. This is very important to us . We want you to know the person on the other end of the phone understands first hand about the disease. Several thousand free information packets have been mailed worldwide. We provided many support groups worldwide with information, merchandise, awareness items and financial support.

The Carcinoid-NeuroEndocrine Tumor Society-Canada

The Objectives of CNETS Canada are:

to provide workshops and seminars on issues dealing with conditions associated with carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumour diseases;
to establish support groups to provide support services for those affected by carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumour diseases;
to increase awareness of and educate the public and health care professionals on carcinoid and related neuroendocrine tumours, their diagnosis, treatment and management; and
to support cancer research by gifting funds to other registered charities or organizations that are otherwise qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act.

The Carcinoid-NeuroEndocrine Tumour Society-Canada (CNETS Canada) was formed in 2007 to assist the Canadian community, primarily patients, with this type of disease.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

How We Accomplish Our Mission
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and government advocacy. The organization raises money for direct private funding of research – and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network fills the void of information and options by giving patients and caregivers reliable, personalized information they need to make informed decisions. The organization helps support individuals and communities all across the country in working together to raise awareness and funds to develop more effective treatment options for better patient outcomes. We create a sense of hope and community so no one has to face pancreatic cancer alone.
